It was over twenty five years since my last tour at PaxRiver. I was totally surprised how the base kept its environmental appeal. This was our first experience using a Navy Lodge. The condition of the facility and the courteous professionalism of the staff made it feel like we were in a 4 star resort. We will definitely return for another relaxing weekend away from home.
I have now made the Navy Lodge my home away from home. It was my refuge when hurricane Harvey hit and has provided my family with several relaxing stays. The rooms are spacious each with a stocked kitchen, no ovens, but it has everything else. The staff is super friendly and extremely accommodating. The only issue is that they close at midnight and don't open til 6am. So, if you have an emergency there is no one to contact.
Irma caused a coffee shortage durning my stay though management didn't provide an alternative option. Two ladies I would like to thank are a Mrs. Sarah Jones and Mrs. Kristina Elias. They both bent over backwards trying to provide some coffee, they also spent over an hour working to resolve an issue with the TV in my room due to an offensive message on the TV. I would return to this Navy Lodge only because of these two ladies. BZ
The rooms here are very comfortable. Small kitchen with microwave, cooktop, fridge, and freezer. Couch, large flat screen TV, and desk in the living area. Good service. Breakfast snacks like cereal bars, muffins, juice, and coffee in the morning.
I have stayed here twice and I would recommend this place to any one! The price is affordable and the rooms are clean. Staff is super friendly as well
